Terms & Disclaimer
Last updated: August 2026
These Terms & Disclaimer (“Terms”) govern your use of the MileMapper LLC (“MileMapper,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) website and consulting services. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.
This page is intended to set clear, reasonable expectations. It isn't a substitute for a signed engagement agreement, which may include additional terms specific to your engagement.
About MileMapper
MileMapper LLC is a Virginia-based consulting business specializing in points, miles, and travel rewards strategy. We help individuals, couples, families, and business owners make sense of their cards, spending, points, and travel goals, and turn that into a coordinated plan.
Nature of Our Services
MileMapper provides consulting, analysis, education, and personalized strategy relating to points, miles, rewards, loyalty programs, credit cards, spending strategy, travel strategy, award travel, and redemptions. Our work is based on experience and judgment — we look across your full situation, identify opportunities that are actually relevant to you, and help you prioritize what to do next.
Not Financial, Legal, Tax, or Investment Advice
MileMapper is not a bank, credit card issuer, financial institution, law firm, tax advisor, or investment advisor, and we don't provide legal, tax, investment, or other regulated financial advice. Nothing we provide should be treated as a substitute for advice from a licensed professional in those areas.
Client Decision-Making
MileMapper may recommend a course of action — for example, applying for a specific card, making a particular redemption, or adjusting how you earn or spend — but you make the final decision. You retain full control and responsibility over whether to apply for, open, close, upgrade, downgrade, or otherwise manage any card or account; transfer or redeem points; make purchases; book, cancel, or modify travel; or act on any other recommendation we provide.
Credit Cards and Credit
Card approval is determined solely by the card issuer, not by MileMapper. We can't guarantee that you'll be approved for any card, that you'll qualify for a particular welcome offer, or that an offer available to someone else will be available to you. Issuer rules, welcome offers, and eligibility requirements can change at any time, often without notice.
Applying for credit can affect your credit profile. You're responsible for reviewing each card's annual fees, APR, benefits, and terms before applying, and for considering your own ability to manage credit responsibly.
Points, Miles, and Loyalty Programs
Loyalty programs and the broader rewards ecosystem can change at any time — including program rules, transfer partners, transfer ratios, award charts, dynamic pricing, redemption rates, elite benefits, card benefits, award inventory, promotions, expiration rules, and devaluations. We do our best to stay current, but we can't guarantee that an opportunity available today will still be available in the future.
Travel and Award Availability
Travel outcomes depend on third parties we don't control, including airlines, hotels, loyalty programs, credit card issuers, airports, government agencies, and other travel providers. These parties may control or change schedules, availability, award inventory, fares, taxes, surcharges, cancellation policies, entry requirements, and flight or hotel operations. MileMapper can't guarantee a particular booking, redemption, schedule, or travel outcome.
Estimated and Potential Value
Our website may reference finding missed opportunities that can add up to thousands of dollars in potential value. That figure is illustrative of the kind of value a coordinated strategy can uncover — it's not a guarantee. Actual value varies by client and depends on your existing cards, spending, travel behavior, and redemption decisions, as well as factors outside our control, including program availability and rule changes. An identified opportunity isn't the same thing as cash in hand, and a redemption's estimated value isn't a guaranteed financial return. Founder results, prior client examples, or representative outcomes are shared for illustration and don't guarantee that any particular engagement will produce a specific amount of value.
Accuracy of Client Information
Our recommendations depend in part on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide — including your cards, points balances, spending, travel plans, account history, and any relevant restrictions. MileMapper isn't responsible for errors or gaps in our recommendations that result from inaccurate or incomplete information you provide.
Account Security and Credentials
MileMapper doesn't need — and you should not provide — banking passwords, credit card passwords, loyalty program passwords, full payment card numbers, or Social Security numbers. You retain control over your own financial and loyalty accounts at all times. Should a future service require a different process, we'll explain that clearly and separately before it applies.
Third-Party Services and Links
We may discuss, link to, or recommend third-party credit cards, loyalty programs, airlines, hotels, websites, tools, or services. We aren't responsible for the availability, operation, policies, or content of those independent third parties, and referencing them doesn't imply a partnership or endorsement beyond what's stated.
Some links on our website may provide MileMapper with referral compensation if you sign up through them. Our recommendations are based on what we believe makes the most sense for you, not on which option pays us the most.
Intellectual Property
Original materials we create — including our website content, written analysis, roadmap and strategy documents, graphics, branding, frameworks, and educational materials — are MileMapper's intellectual property unless otherwise stated. If you're a client, you're welcome to use the materials from your own engagement for your personal or internal business purposes. Please don't copy, resell, publish, or otherwise reproduce our materials commercially without our permission.
No Guarantee of Results
MileMapper can't guarantee a particular financial, travel, credit, rewards, or redemption result. Outcomes depend on your individual circumstances and on third parties — issuers, loyalty programs, airlines, and hotels — that operate independently of us. We bring experience and judgment to every engagement, but we can't control decisions made outside of MileMapper.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, MileMapper's liability arising out of or related to our services is limited to the fees you paid for the relevant engagement. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for losses caused by third parties — including card issuers, loyalty programs, airlines, or hotels — even if we've been advised those losses were possible. This limitation reflects the nature of consulting services delivered in an environment where external programs, offers, and travel inventory are outside our control.
Changes to Services or Terms
We may update these Terms, or change or discontinue aspects of our services, from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our website or services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
